Mayor Tara Grunde-McLaughlin, Members of Council -- Emily Heinz, Gina Tognini, Kris Bauman, Gail Foley, Josh Phillips, Julia Woldorf

Happy Fall!

We hope you're enjoying the change of seasons and have taken part in one or more of the many special events planned for our community. Thank you to all of the organizers, volunteers, and our Police Department for providing safe passage in support of these efforts. We're particularly pleased to end October with a large number of trick-or-treaters safely celebrating Halloween in Newtown Borough.

We'd also like to thank the Countryside Gardeners who did a fabulous job weeding the Edward Hicks Memorial Garden in the municipal parking lot and planting 55 perennials to attract native pollinators. We look forward to seeing the fruits of their labor next Spring and Summer.

As a reminder, Tuesday, November 3rd is Election Day and local voting information can be found here.

Our Fall Newsletter is due to arrive in all borough mailboxes in a couple of weeks. This issue includes holiday events for the entire family in addition to being a helpful resource for borough-related information. In support of our business community, parking restrictions are being lifted once again to encourage local shopping and dining during the holidays.

This month, Borough Council will meet in a Work Session on November 4th and a Council Meeting on November 18th. As a reminder, ALL meetings are currently being held at Borough Hall. Audio and video recordings are available on the Borough website calendar following these meetings.

Please click Volunteer Opportunities to see the few vacancies that remain on our Committees, Commissions, and Boards as well as those that will arise in the new year.

Thank you for staying informed and please share this correspondence with anyone who may be interested to sign up for E-News Alerts too.

Best regards,

Newtown Borough Mayor & Council
