As the new year begins, the first item on the agenda is the swearing-in of newly elected officials. Several members will also be reappointed to various Committees of Council. Residents interested in volunteering in Newtown Borough are encouraged to check back after the Reorganization Meeting to view any remaining vacancies. Sincere appreciation is extended to each and every volunteer.

Monthly Council Meetings are held at the Chancellor Center and are livestreamed on YouTube. The Work Sessions that precede these meetings take place at Borough Hall and may be viewed on Zoom. Recordings are available following the meetings on the Borough website calendar.

As winter continues, attention is directed to the Borough’s Ordinances pertaining to Snow and Ice Emergencies and Snow and Ice Removal. This information is available at https://www.boroughofnewtown.com/codes.
