Newtown Artesian Water Company Utility Improvement to Close Centre Avenue in Newtown Borough, Newtown Township
Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today Newtown Artesian Water Company will perform utility construction on Centre Avenue in Newtown Borough and Newtown Township, Bucks County, beginning Monday, June 23.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, June 23, through Friday, July 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Centre Avenue will be closed weekdays between State Street and Sycamore Street. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use State Street, Washington Avenue, and Sycamore Street.
Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Newtown Artesian Water Company will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
