Traditional Italian Evening Stroll Coming to Newtown Borough
The Newtown Experience is bringing the Italian tradition of passeggiata to Newtown Borough on Thursday, June 18 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Passeggiata is a traditional Italian evening stroll taken after dinner. It’s not brisk or performance driven. Instead, it’s a chance to slow down, enjoy some fresh air, and connect with friends and neighbors as the day winds down.
Passeggiata is for all ages, and in Italy it’s common to see entire families strolling together. That intergenerational connection is part of what makes the tradition so meaningful. Passeggiata brings people together, encourages conversation, and fosters a stronger sense of community and belonging.
No registration is required and there is no rain date. Just come out on June 18 and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Borough. For more information, visit TheNewtownExperience.org.
