Newtown Artesian Water Company to Close State Street for Utility Installation in Newtown Borough, Bucks County

Newtown Artesian Water Company scheduled the closing of State Street on weeknights between Penn Street and Washington Avenue in Newtown Borough, Bucks County, beginning Sunday, July 30, through mid-September, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, for utility installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

During construction, State Street motorists will be detoured over Washington Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur during construction.

Newtown Artesian Water Company will complete the project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
